Your Role: Software Engineer in Test
As a Software Engineer in Test, you'll play a crucial role in our agile product development team. Your responsibilities will span from manual testing to developing code, test cases, and infrastructure for testing and deploying quality software. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing our engineering practices, improving testability and code coverage, and fostering a culture of proactive bug prevention. With our expansion into new product lines, your impact will be significant, influencing customer experience and driving these practices across our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and own our test automation systems, becoming the subject matter expert for tests and test infrastructure within the team.
- Perform manual testing of various flows and edge cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Create reusable and extensible tests at the unit and integration levels, evolving them alongside the product.
- Collaborate with the product development team to build processes and feature specifications for a high-quality, usable, secure, and reliable product.
- Effectively communicate our quality strategy to the team and external development partners.
- Design prototypes and experiments to validate and improve system architecture and enhance our test approach.
- Continuously improve the development process, aiming for end-to-end quality.
- Cultivate a quality mindset within the team through coaching, leadership, and growth initiatives.
- Embrace quantification and a "trust but verify" approach in testing.
- Contribute to the development of team members' understanding of testing and test-driven development.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Real-world experience and knowledge of software quality and testing.
- A technical degree or equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in reading and writing code, preferably in JavaScript and Go, but experience in any language is valued.
- Passion for delivering customer-centric products.
- Ability to analyse and debug HTTP exchanges.
- Understanding of Single Page Applications, ideally with experience in React.
- A proactive and growth-oriented mindset, always challenging yourself and the team to improve.
- A keen eye for identifying potential issues and a healthy skepticism for evaluating risks.
- Appreciation for how security, performance, usability, and scaling contribute to product quality.
- Strong belief in explicit communication.

At Transforming Protection, our Customer Success team serves as the front line of customer interactions, promoting the adoption of our end-to-end system among mortgage brokers. As a Customer Success Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping brokers get the most out of Transforming Protection, ensuring they receive exceptional support and training. You'll collaborate closely with other teams like Product, Design, and Business Development, advocating for user needs and continuously delighting our customers.
Your Role: Customer Success Assistant
As a Customer Success Assistant, you'll gain valuable experience in a fast-paced Fintech start-up and directly contribute to its growth. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of our product and user base.
- Assisting brokers with day-to-day support requests, providing outstanding customer experiences under the guidance of a senior Customer Success colleague.
- Collaborating with the team to categorize and prioritize customer feedback, driving continuous improvements to our product.
- Contributing to clear and concise communications about our product, such as release notes, product documentation, and training videos.
- Supporting the team in delivering high-quality training sessions for users.
- Participating in onboarding and training new customers, ensuring a smooth start to their Transforming Protection journey.
- Generating reports for the team and Head of Customer Success to inform data-driven decisions for customer outcomes and experiences.
